Not having any luck with the decoder on the home page, Any body know which number is the year in a Yamaha vin ? Don`t help it`s a bit hard to read ,is there a engine number also and would they be the same ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a VIN number on the frame?
is it 17 characters?
If so, what is the 10 character? It should be a letter
The 10th character is the year.

The motor and frame will be different!

The frame number looks like 21y034475 but it`s hard to read.

1984 YT125 and the engine numbers should match.

According to Dirt Wheels Yamaha has the year stamped on the rim.The only thing with that is if the rims are the origonal ones.
