hey guys just had a quick question about changing the pre mix oil the guy I got the guy I got the bike from was running amsoil only problem with that is not a lot of ppl sell it around where I live I am looking to switch to purple spectro do I have to take the motor and Carb apart and clean it or can I just drain it and mix up some new gas with the different oil and run it

I'd drain the tank and carb just to get rid of the old fuel and any water or other garbage that may be in there. After that just put your new mix in and enjoy the ride.

I recommend Maxima 927 Castor if it is available near you. I live in CNY and a SKi-Doo/Suzuki dealer near me sells it...
Just mix up your new fuel and run it as long as whats in it is still good. I have switched/mixed oils with my oil injected sleds without draining the oil tanks and never had an issue. I also recently switched from Amsoil Dominator to Maxima in my R. Doesn't hurt a thing in my experience.

I use 927 castor also. Good oil

Cool thanks for the help guys There is a Suzuki dealership where I live and now that I think about it I have 4 quarts of maxima 927 in my garage from wen I got my zilla

927 used here as well. I love that smell......
