been a bit since i posted, been having a bit of problems that have held me back from projects so i havent had a chance to check out 3ww.
well anyways i finally got around to getting the magneto off my alt 50 and replacing it, and my new ignition coil is due tmm in the mail. in the mean time i removed the restrictor plates and such. what are the top speed on these? with a man that weighs 180lbs or so, id like to pinch 25-30mph if i could, and are they powerful enough to haul me up a hill? is there any reccomended mods to do that are relatively simple and do not molest the condition of the machine? any info and reccomendations are appreciated.
also i would like to take off the pull cord kill switch if possible.

25-30 is out of the question. 20 will be max. If you took out the restriction washer that is about it. You can pull the baffles and that will help some.

My daughter had a lt50 with the full ct racing kit. Pipe, bigger carb, head had been shaved and a open filter. It maybe max out around 25mph with her on it but that was really pushing it.

My nieces rode my ALT's when they were smaller. They will move out ok with a kid on them, but I think Hippyplz is correct on the speed. That kid of yours liked my YT60 more I bet! :)

well i put the new ignition coil on and im not getting any spark from the spark plug wire. i have the wiring all correct and if i stick my finger in the clasp that comes straight from the magneto i can feel a light shock, i have the ignition coil mounted correctly and everything what could possibly be messed up now?

Do you have the rear kill switched hooked up?

as far as i can see it is plugged in and pushing the button in and completing the circuit.

i honestly cannot see or find one way for it to not be transferring the power from the magneto through the coil. the coil is mounted and grounded, the wiring is 100% correct kill switches are on and i know for a fact i am getting power from the magneto.

I have had problems in the past with the kill switch on the bars and the the rear. Unhook the rear and give it a shot.
