1987 250es :wonderingruns great untill i do a wheelie, then it will just bog down and stall unless i hit the choke real fast.. if i take the cap off it still dies.. i thought it was the vent on top of the tank but apparently not..

Stop popping wheelies.... Seriously though.. your carb needs cleaned. Wheelies will show you how much silt is in your carb!

check the vent hose coming off the carb, had a 250x did same thing and one hose was plugged with mud.

When you wheelie the carb is leaned back, forcing the float up with less fuel in the bowl, so it just starts to run low on fuel as the jets start to come out of the fuel.

Check your float level as well...those floats were plastic, and over time the tab that holds the needle can warp a bit, so you won't have as much fuel in the bowl as you should.

Very true, they were. However I have easily 20,000 + miles on them trailriding ,and easily a few hundred of that on the rear tires only. They are Incredible wheelie bikes!
