i just started my t3 for the first time and after about 1/2 throttle it begins to die. the engine is breakin up alot upon acceleration.could this be because i am running a 32:1 mix???every now and then the idle will raise all by it self.

after rebuild it only took 4 kicks to start, i loved it!
i was a nice guy and waited till 10 am this morning to start her up, man it's loud!
my neighbor has a 85 t3 that he says needs a head gasket and wants 500 bucks for it , think i might pick it up for parts. question is , if water is in the oil the only way to enter engine is through the head??????

it sounds like your jetting or timing is way off.

water in the oil means your water pump seal is badthats the only place water and oil cross,,,,,,,,

check your reeds. a broken reed will keep the bike from reving up but it will idle ok. also check for vaccum leaks.
if you don't buy the 85, i'd be interested in it.

picked up the 85 t3 last nite , took it for a spin and every thing works.looks like this thing is a cherry, none of the bolts have scraches on them and nothing has been repainted.
plan on rebuilding the engine"piston , rings , seals and gaskets and i am going to try to trade a kx 250 for it.
