Cork or a plug of some sort....you may need to use a small drill bit. Make sure the bit is the correct size prior to kote. I always remove the petcock and cap...tape both, then remove it to drain off extra kote. If the tank is real rusty BB's from you local K-Mart, sporting goods with a cup or two of fuel...well shaken helps get some of the flakes off the inside. I find this stuff works great and a gallon shipped is around $20 if you buy direct.

i think i just put some smaller screws in them and then when it was just about dried you take a qtip with acetone on it and keep rubbing it in and out of them to remove whatever coating is there. acetone removes the coat so its not a big deal if they get clogged, just do what i said and you'll be fine. i'd fill the tank with muriatic acid first to eat the rust, then neutralize it with water and baking soda, then fill with acetone to completely dry the inside.

With red coat you want a rough rusty surface for it to adhear to. On 90 and 110 tanks I take a piece of coated wire that just fits in the fuel tubes and run them in both while it dries. you may still have to clean them out alittle but this helps.
