got my 200x the other day and the headlight bulb is missing and the tail light bulb was blown. so i put a tail light bulb in first and it blew as soon as i flipped it on. i looked the bike over today and cannot find a voltage regulator. is my bike missing one? or do they look different then the 250r and 350x?

The wiring and light bulbs are the regulator. Put new bulbs in the tail and headlights and you will be fine. The problem is if you blow one bulb, it causes an increase in voltage and it blows the other bulb.

as a side note,
millions of the trail 90's 'use' the battery and
resistance of the light filaments as a 'power soak'.
kinda like the Marshall amps that go to 11.so..
light bulb filaments.
eliminating one filament and it's resistnce, you should blow
(or have in circuit) 2 healthy light bulb filaments.
