84 250r In-Tank Fuel Filter

So to make a long story short (well...shorter). The black rubber on the petcock hose got stuck in the fuel filter in my gas tank. Pulled the filter out to get the rubber piece, but ruined the filter in the process. Where can I buy another one? Or do I really not need it if I plan on putting an in-line filter on it? Just wondering if I left it off would it affect anything.

With an inline,just leave it out .

yea inline is the way to go .. can see if its getting dirty and is easy to change
