I have what I just found out is a PK swinger (weld-on kit). My main obstacle (among others getting this relic going) is: the 2 piece bushings are worn out! Not sure what to do to acquire them. Do I have to have to ship my swingarm out to have these custom made fit? My only hope for getting this resolved is an answer from you guys on this great site.....;)......... When assembled: they are 30mm outer dia. x 11mm wide x 10mm hole. Is there any options?:wondering. Not sure what size the other swingers use? -What you guys are doing to rebuild your swinger kits? Any help?............................................. .................................................. .............................
How about a 69.75mm piston/rings?

Your best bet is take your set up to a local machinist and have him make you a couple sets of bushings out of bronze, that way in the future you will have extras. It may not hurt if your budget can swing a new swingarm bolt as well out of stainless steel. You can always set up your bushings to have a hole and channel to carry grease and to install grease fittings on the outside of where your bushings ride, but that is up to you. As far as a bigger piston, you can always bolt on a 200s or 200x cylinder and piston or just have your cylinder machined for the next biggest piston.

Crap.......Is this a unique size to this swingarm? Is everyone having them custom made for there swingarms? Thats gonna be costly to have a couple sets custom made of bronze-(the originals are also bronze inner bushing with a thin steel? outer shell).- & yes I would have at least 1 extra set made- of course. But not what I want to hear $$$. Why dont they use bearings like in the rear? Also- what about polyeurathane? bushings-would that work?- It would be alot cheaper/easier to have made-I imagine.....
As far as the piston-my problem is its too big- cant even get new rings for it. (prior owner obviously forced it over with locked up rings & shattered the top ring (about 8-9 pieces) & damaged the ring lands:cry:- Among other f-ups he did to the whole damn thing Deepa
Gonna have to smaller bore = 67mm or so different cyl.....thanks Veal- Anyone else have ideas on the bushings?

I think that 185s swingarm kit used the same works shock that I have on my 81 250r.
the swingarm bushing might be the same I know of someone getting some poly. bushings made for the 81 250r that might be the best way to go and never have to replace them. they are hard to find.

I cannot speak about the WELD ON PK kit but I can tell you about the BOLT ON PK kit. It uses 4 roller bearings (two in each side) and a 10MM bolt about 9 15/16 inches long. The bearings I used came from here. http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/Kit243?gclid=CJTEtob9y7ECFUMCQAodaywAfg

Hmmm,... I would like to use a bearing instead (much easier). The dimensions on the bearings are different than the bushings that came out of mine so those wont -work but thanks for showing what yours comes with. I wonder if mine initially had bearings too?

Here's what I have.... Sorry,-I didnt expect to have to pay to custom make $$$ the bushings -I didnt expect the bushings to be another $$$ hurdle-thats all. I have enough to overcome already on this project (bring back from the grave)I'm not complaining-I have ties to this bike from my youth so Im glad just to have it& no matter how long it takes ...............(I do have 2 other ATCs & 2 young ones too) So sorry Fabio -if I'm not worthy.
Anyone else have the same kit?

spend some time searching McMaster Carr site - maybe you'll find some bushings the same size or close?

A chunk of brass or nylon a drill press and table top belt sander and it shouldn't be to difficult to make a new set !

Havent found anything with the exact dimensions YET on that site- it looked promising (lots of cool stuff too)..............Mike,-I just dont have any machinery like that. Gonna have to get a harbor freight drill press eventually,- the sanders is nice to have too. A metal lathe or CNC Bridgeport would really nice- tho I'm a little rusty on the CNC manual programming. Been lookin at metric sizes-nothing matching yet. Could it be standard measurement dimensions it goes by? since the swinger was made here in USA-right or wrong?

That's what I would guess - SAE sizes.
