View Full Version : Sloppy '85 200X Kickstart Lever Help

Fixing the details on my build. The kicker won't stay tucked in while riding. Just sort of flops around while riding. Nothing wrong with the action when kicking it, just doesn't stay out of the way when not in use. My 350X has a little ball bearing to keep it either tucked in or out, how does the 200X work?

Your kicker has a knuckle where it rotates forward and backward. I would take that apart and see where your issue is. There should be a phillips head screw on the back of the lever to disassemble.

They still make all the parts to rebuild the kicker joint. My guess is your little spring is bad.

Thanks for the schematic link! I checked the online manual and didn't see one. I don't even recall there being a spring! I'll bet it's missing altogether! That pretty much shows me what to look for and replace. Thanks Yaeg!

yeah mine did it too i streched the spring and works fine now
