My '53 Jubilee was having Lift troubles and my grass was getting out of control...SO I found this 60" Electric start Swisher Finish mower on Craigslist for $600 and decided I would give it a shot. Figured if it would keep up with the tall grass then It should be faster than the Tractor with 5' bush hog. Also get an excuse to go out and ride the 3wheeler all day.
Got to admit I was pretty impressed for it being a finish mower. I set the cut to 3.5" and it would easily knock down even the 2ft tall stuff -

i grew up using a Jubilee with a brush hog to cut the fields out behind our house and the grandparents house. Used to love that Jubilee, we would hook up a rope behind it in the winter and go tearing around in 3rd gear in the snow pulling tubes etc in the fields for fun. or maybe it was a piece of plywood lol i dont even remember. Anyways thats a cool finishing mower, how big is the motor on it? looks like it does a great job!

It's actually only a 13.5 briggs - But it's plenty of power - Easy on gas too - I probably only used 3 gallons of gas between it and the Big Red mowing 7 acres with it the other day

I love a good three wheeler, but that tractor is fine. I think it'd be a pretty close call on what was the most fun to ride. Probably just have to alternate between the two. I can remember the name of the old tractor I used to drive, but it sucked. I'd drive yours to town though.

yupp, cool choices.

3rd gear in the tractor or 2nd/3rd with the big red.

red's faster and more fun and way less gas.
but not real hard to jacknife or mousetrap when pulling stuff, especially if the tow rope or chain wraps around one of the rear tires on a tight turn.
Roll backwards on a hill = very bad.

Please don't ask how I know.

Luckily, it was more embarassing than anything else.
