I am thinking of getting a new set of tires for my 250es. Which would be the best tire for the front, also which would be the best for the rear im thinking between mudlites, bearclaws, or duro excavators? I currently have a knobby in the front and excavators in the rear.

To get the best balance of your machine you should keep a match..or at least similar construction.

I put a full set of Bear Claws on my last 250ES..it was great and fit right onto the stock wheels.

This latest one I got a little more creative with..12" and some Mudsharks. I have a knobby on front now..it tends to get a little loose at a high speeds. I have a 12" rim and Bear Claw coming for the front that should even things up.

Have fun with it..get creative.

i run a knobby on the front and dirt devils on the rear.. lots of grip and the flat tread helps stablize the beasts...

A couple months back I was just like you wondering which ones to get. Tires have gone up in price pretty good. So that was a factor in my decision. Another factor was I wanted good traction not just for the rear but for the front to turn as well. I wanted a matching set. after pricing them in farm and home stores and just about everywhere else I found Chapparel on feebay to be the cheapest with free shipping. I cant find them for that price anymore but they may still have them for that price listed on their website. I bought the stock size GBC dirt devils.
Now I like them but they are a more heavier tire. I do change my rear end fluid at least 2-3 times a year now just to be on the safe side. I would have chosen the mud lites but the cost was a factor.

I hope this helps. :beer
