Tri Z Headlight shell question.

My 85 Z has an all yellow shell, I noticed almost all 85 Z's have a black piece of plastic just under the headlight instead of yellow, just wandering if there was any signifigance to this.

It was just part of yamaha's colors back in the day, Its just paint!
