Is the service manual for an 85 t3 the same for the 87 t3, I already have the 87 suplement.

I've heard that the 84-85 is the "base" manual, and the suplements refer you back to it for some repairs...

Yes, there is a base manual. Which covers the 84 model and has the 85 supplement chapter. Then later came the 86/87 supplement. You need a base manual and a supplement for 86/87 repairs.
