Been real busy lately .. still workin on bikes,, decided not to go to unidilla this weekend to get stuff done!!! crunch time....!!! :(

went to change a base gasket and found some of my piston was missing.. so a fresh Bore and a new piston went in at the last Min! swapped out the round slide for a flat slide ,,, and takeing of the stock exhaust for a DG.. New duro's wheel spacers... gonna do the first heat cycle today

Got the FAT tire on the #11 and my rear tires will be in on monday! and just gotta slam the rear down...:twisted:

was in the shop till midnight... counting the Days!!!

Got the rear shock swapped out for the R6 shock, swapped the stock front end for inverts (to run my 10in front wheel), and threw down a few practice laps on our dirt oval track! MAN this thing rips!! Waiting on my flat track tires to show yet, but so far, SO good.

Hope I have it lowered enough. I think Matt got a better picture of it to post. Does it look like I might be outmatched on horsepower?? Don't be fooled - this bike is a sleeper. It only APPEARS bone stock. In reality, it had its second set of rings installed less then 10 years ago!!

If those are 1985 forks you can lower them even more by taking the fork caps off and there are 2 sets of springs in there, take out the the set that you first see (the short set on top.) that will slam it down about another 4-6 inches.

And what just leave that much free play in um to slam up and down?

I found it alone at the Drag strip And ripped it for a while. It runs Really good for what it is! LOL

yep!! you have to put that spring back in on top of the dampening rod ,, or it will extend the frontend up under acceleration,, and then it leaves the front LITE BECAUSE IT HAS TO EXTEND ALL THE WAY OUT BEFORE YOU HAVE THE WEIGHT OF THE TIRE HELPING YOU,,,

I will be there on stockers for the 70's..It is a "fun" thing..Hope nobody bumps me though, or they are going to get some ANGRY NEIGHBOR tatoo's. Or "Flatoo's" lol

YES YOU CAN RUN KNOBBIES.....Tim has mentioned anyone with a trike and some worn knobbies is more than welcomed. I think he recomended putting the baldest set you have back on, as I recall. Pretty much run what ya brung and deal with track conditions based on your ablity to slide it on the blue groove. Sure slicks are best but if your just out to run the track and have some fun....you could get away on balloon tires.

I believe Raffa spoke with someone from the track, and was told absolutely no rear knobbies (but this may not apply to the 70's). don't quote me, but that was what i was told.
