Is the front rim on an 81 Honda ATC 200 a two piece rim or a one piece rim? Might be a dumb question, because it looks like a one piece. But I am just making sure because of all the trouble I went through with the rear rims.

Also, what are the differences in the front and rear tires? According to the size on the tire they are the same, but the front tire looks smaller or thinner.

How many bolts on the wheel is the deciding factor?

If it has 8 then it's a two piece..4 to secure it to the hub and 4 to secure the rim halves.

A solid rim will have either 3 or 4 bolt, depending on the trike hub they were intended to fit.

The tires are the same size, but tire size and proportions can vary greatly from one manufacturer to another..so they won't even look the same.

I've bought trikes in the past that had to different tires on the rear axle that even though they were the same size stamped on them, the damn trike practically drove in circles because they were so different.

I checked an it has four.....Thank God! Two piece rims absolutely suck lol. But the good thing about my 2 piece rear rims is that it forced me to put some 200x rims and hubs on the trike and they look sweet.

Thanks Doug.

As for the front tire- so as long as I get the right size (which is 22X11-8 stamped on the front tire) then I should be alright? The newer ones just look so much thicker than stock.

Thanks.

There are still tons of tires around in that size..any one would do, not like it's a performance track trike. On your front wheel the difference in style or construction is fine..though it may make your trike handle different because of the difference in sidewall roll.
