so i finally got a 250sx. by may i had sold 3 of my big reds and found and bought an 88 yamaha warrior. rode well, excellent power, but to many flaws. apparently all warriors have the issue of not going into neutral and refuse to come out of reverse until shut off. i was able to locate a 85 honda 250sx. the kid who was selling it wanted a $1000 for it. we made the swap deal plus $125. i came out on top this time. this 250sx is very close to mint shape, starts and runs smooth and reverse works. needs nothing except front break adjustment. as of right now my brother is trying to get another sx in better shape, more like showroom ready. the owners bought it new in 85, used it rarely and only for yard work, stored inside all winter and still have the paper work from the sale and manual in amazing condition. they told me to make an offer. hopefully $900 will do it. pics to come later. im glad im back to three wheels, 4 was just to many.

Even though I just bought a 350x and am totally pumped about my new ride..the 250SX is still one of my most favourite machines.

It takes more beating than any other machine I've owned..with the right combination of tires(I've found a set that works well for me) this machine will do anything you ask it!! Hill climbing, mud bogging, trail, rocks, water...

I often say, if you only have one machine it should be one of these..no other machine is a versatile as the SX. You can always add more to the pack later.

it is a nice 3 wheeler. last evening i took it on some common riding trails and took it for a dip in the mud. it has a brand new set of wooly booger tires on it, did very well pulling me through the deep mud considering im quite big and heavy. its too good of a shape to do any mods to it right now. iv heard you can swap the 200x fork and put it on the sx and modify the bump stops so you can put a skinnier tire on the front for handling. cant wait to try it in the snow.

Although the 200x front end swap is favoured by some there is an easier/cheaper way to put a thin wheel and tire on.

I installed a 87 TRX250 front rim (11x7) and a 23x8x11 Bear Claw tire with a couple wheel spacers to get the offset right..AMAZING difference to handling.
