I bought a 350X sight unseen from a guy at work that I trust. He said it ran great and the headlight was good, but was beat to death. I was going to part it out. silver front rim for my R, Headlight and handlebar switch for the R, and a tourquey 350X engine for my sons 250X. Then part the rest out. It has a new Clarke tank and petcock on it so i figured I could recoup a little money there.
Anyway I picked it up yesterday and we have been riding it ever since. It runs great just like he said engine sounds great no noises, no smoke oil is clean and full. rear brakes are shot, forks are leaking, plastics are shot, Seat is shot, tires are shot, Bottom line is its not too far gone to fix and these beasts are getting rare. and I am wrestling with the idea of violating it??? what do you guys think?
