Is it possible to put one of these on say a 350x? I know it doesnt have a battery but i would think it could be function if the engine is running? This way you could have a plug ready should you need it for say an air pump or gps. I know its possible with the big red. Is it also doable with the sx?

I am going to venture a guess, and say that your stator wouldnt handle that kind of an electrical load...

I didnt think it was that much but then again im not sure what the stator is capable of. Truth be told i really want it as just a plug for an air pump. I have gotten several flats that required tire plugs and i would be lost without by buddies quad with the cig lighter for the elec air pump. So i got to thinking if i could throw one on a trike.

Keep in mind the stators output AC voltage. The big Red and SX have full wave rectifiers to convert AC to DC to charge the battery and provide a DC power point for accessories. The 350X has a strickly AC electrical system nor does it have the available capacity. The voltage regulator is actually a shunt which caps the AC voltage at 13.6vac. You need DC voltage to run a GPS or an air pump. On the SX, behind the headlight there is an unused wire for accessories. Its DC.

Problem is... They are not rectified, so its AC voltage to the lights that has a simple regulator so it doesn't go to high for the bulbs and blow them out.
If you wanted to do this... The easiest way depending on your electrical skills, would be to wire up a rectifier, you can get a universal atv unit off eBay for cheap, then you take the DC output of that rectifier to a small battery, the rectifier gives you DC voltage to charge the battery and you have a DC source for a cigarette lighter outlet. You could use it without a battery but your voltage would be up and down some with engine speed and might not be enough to run the air pump at idle.
