Got off Ebay. No idea who made this pipe? Longer stinger, wider intake, fatter mid.

We have a winner! Is that silencer an Answer? That same silencer came with the bike, but was in such a cobble state of condition I thought someone just tried to stick anything on they had laying around. I thought of fixing it but didnt understand why it was angled back instead of going straight out the back of the bike. When I had it mocked up to hang it just didnt look right. You have a pic of it mounted to the frame. Would be nice to use what came with the pipe back in the day. Will take some work but welding aluminum is no big deal.
Thanks
Chris

Sweet,Thanks! If you have a second could you get me a pic of the silencer from the back? Just trying to get a feel for what it looks like with the angle on the silencer inlet. Ya Im very impressed with the out come. As for the pipes performance hard to tell. I never rode it before the build so hard to say what the pipe and 1985 KX 250 topend did. I changed all the electronics and fly wheel as well. 38mm TMX boyesen reeds with uni pod,(airbox was missing) two inch extended swingarm 6 inch axel. I ride open bore bikes, including a KTM 550, Built 421 Shee, and a Factory 800 Arctic Cat Sno Pro. So when I say this thing is a hand full I think I have some clout! All my bros were making fun of me when I was building the Tecate now they fight over it. I have a MX track around my property, kinda mix of woods riding. Im worried someone may end up in a tree. It just moves! Most people havent even rode a three wheeler before, let alone a fast one. It does stall very easily if you use the rear break. Revs like crazy! I thought I was lean down low and I jetted it into the dirt and it still took off like a bottle rocket. I ended up taking the TMX off my Husky 250 and only had to move the needle clip up one and the air jet out 1/4 turn 390 main. I think im going to change out my rear shock for a spare Banshee shock I have so I can spring it heavier. I have rebuilt the shock three times trying to get it stiffened up with different weight oils with not a ton of luck even with 190lbs of nitrogen. Any way Im having a blast roosting around, and Im looking forward to getting the paddles on and hitting the sand.
