Dumb question

So I was changing the oil on my ytm200k, and I'd be damned but getting the Drain plug, Compression spring and Oil strainer back on was a bear. Should this be that difficult? What's the trick? Prob took me 20 min. Fiddling with it before I could get it back on.

Socket on the cap with extension to give you some length to work around the shifter..a bit of pressure to compress the spring while twisting. Usually gets it done for me.

You may have a slightly jacked up thread. Did it spin easy after you got it started?

Yeah, once I got it started it was no problem. It's an awkward angle, plus oily cap, oily fingers and pissed off me wasn't making anything easier.
