Years back i put an aftermarket exhaust on an old dirt bike and i used a couple universal heat shield standoffs to mount the stock heat shield on the new exhaust, i don't remember where i got them, or what exactly they were called, but i want another set and can't find anything like them.
I put a new DG exhaust on my 84 200ES and i want to put the stock heat shield back on it, it won't fit the contour perfectly but good enough and it will help with the radiated leg heat i am feeling. Before i start fabricating and make something, anyone know of a product like this? I seem to recall it was a couple stainless band clamps with threaded standoffs on them for the heat shield screws.
Google searches and ebay searches have come up empty, and the search is broken on here and i swear i saw a post a while back where someone bought the same thing for their exhaust.
