Hey everyone,

Well I'm just about done with my 200s trike to bike conversion. (the rear frame was almost completely rusted away) I'm having some trouble picking out some tires. I want big rounded soft light weight balloon tires like the original 200s tires in 22x11-8. Most of the tires I am finding are heavy squared profile tires for quads.

Thanks

Check these out..about as close as it gets. Not quite as soft and cushy as the OEM but pretty good!

Duro knobbies are my choice , very light weight / soft rubber and great for hard tails .

Has anyone used these? http://www.amazon.com/Kenda-Scorpion-General-Purpose-Front/dp/B001CD6HSS Kenda Scorpion tires? I have a set on a mini bike and they worked great but I don't know if the profile / construction is the same on the bigger tires. Its really hard to tell unless you actually have them mounted on a rim.

I have a set of brand new FOX AMS tires on it now but they are quite a bit stiffer, flatter and heavier than the stock tires. I'm thinking of taking them off since they are still new and selling them on Flea Bay. The bike is basically going to be a trail crawler so I think the soft tires would grip better.

I had the bike about 95% complete last year but ran into a few problems and called it quits for a while. So I'm looking to get this beast going!

I just put a Kenda scorpion on my honda 200. Size 25x12-9. Seems to ride good. I let a lot of air out of it from when I had it mounted. I dont have a gauge that goes down that low but rides good. Better than the bald, dry rotted thing that was on it before. Besides that I bought it new off craigslist for only $20.

Re: Kenda Scorpions. I had these on my YTM and removed them. Very little bounce, leaked to high heck and were different in diameter with the same pressure. Sitting here looking like new waiting to get torn up when my 250 needs rubber. I have a set of Duro Knobbies that are waiting to go on which a lot of people here are raving about, but the bounciest tire I've seen since the 80's is the Kenda Frontmax. I'm tempted to rum them all around if these Duro Knobbies don't do what I want.

Thanks for the info everyone. Keep us updated El Camexican.

Has anyone tried the FrontMax on the rear?

Are there any sources online for new OEM Ohtsu tires?
