You mentioned at Ganny that you're shifter gets stuck down.
I bet the # 21 return spring pin is broken. I just fixed my sx a few weekends ago.
gasket and the pin ran me 23 bucks, easy fix!

That's what I am hoping ,Where did you get them? And ya it did it at the Ganny and was fine since.Had it up north last weekend with no problems, went to unload it today and its stuck.I'll pull the cover tomorrow not like I don't have time

Lay it on the rt side.
Remove starter reduction gears and take the cover off thats over the light coil etc etc.
You will find a broken/spring/boss/pin -literally, I'm fairly confident it will be staring at you.
NEVER EVER EVER remove the 3, 6MM or 8MM(??) allen head bolts holding the output shaft.

I bought them from my honda dealer in havelock.
Pop the cover, pull out the shift shaft, and you'll see a broken pin. Should be sitting in there nice and loose so just spin her around with a screwdriver.

Sorry about your string of bad luck. Does the sx shift into all the other gears ok? If it don't shift right in the other gears there is a good chance either the shifting locator "pin" ( 24652-HA0-000 ) came loose or broke, or the "arm, gearshifter" broke ( 24621-HA0-010 or 24621-HA0-020 ).

Ok pin #21 was broken.Changed it, still no neutral, goes up and down one gear ,actually might only be one gear think its stuck there.Seems like its all locked up.Rode it at the trailer then fired it up and loaded it to come home, was fine ,now this ,brought it home with parking brake on, it must have got knocked into gear.Any more help would be great

Thats when I support the rear end and have a friend roll them while you shift up and down and watch the shifting mechanism and try to see what the issue is. This is very common, my SX did the same thing. Almost never an internal issue......

Ok, decided to check rear brakes, they were jammed up ,freed them up and got all gears back. Problem now is the neutral light won't come on. The reverse light does but not the neutral. As I said it goes.through the gears with no problem wheels spin freely in neutral any thoughts?

It grounds near the brake lever; It gets contaminated and loose.

Ok I'll check that, is there anyway to bypass the neutral safety to get it to start with the kickstart

It goes through the gears fine now that I replaced the pin.It just won't recognize neutral so it won't start.

Just attach the wire to any good ground; Now it will start in any gear just an FYI. OR, you have something else to fix.
Get a good battery and stay away from that damn kicker before the one way bearing fails
If you can't figure it out, just download one of the free manuals so you can do some real tests to this invisible trike......

so?
Does it need the neutral switch to work for it to kick start?
Congrats on the relatively easy fix btw.

Ya it does, mine was loose on the side of the motor, its behind the right foot peg.Dirtctasher suggested just wiring it to a good ground to bypass.
