Put on a extra shock I had with out a spring to check for clearance. The turn down and the inlet pipe were just come scrap pieces I stuck on got the picture. Its 5"x18" I'm always gonna run a gas rack on the back. Hope this solves my problem with noise on the trails.

The year I got my r's we rode almost 1 day every other weekend 2-4 tanks of fuel each time. Gonna run into a warded sometime. They eat that up! as they told me" 3 wheelers are old and worn out and will never pass a db test so we like to stop and check them" Dicks! As 3/4 of the people that ride by are all over the blood alcohol limit in Wisconsin.

Not sure about Wisconsin, but in most states, ATVs don't have to pass the latest db limits, they only have to pass the db limits that were in place when they were manufactured. So diferent year models have different db requirements.

Wisconsin and Michigan are strict in the state of Wisconsin no atv can emit more than 96 db use the sae testing procedure. Its very vague so you have a rattly tool box on a new atv technically you will get a ticket they prob wont bother unless you are revving the piss out of something like a new sportsman 700. Gatta blend in they set up check points all the time and stop everyone our trails are mostly old rail road grades used for snowmobile trails in the winter.

How does it sound? What is the design? I wonder how much performance you lose?

I will snap some pictures when i work on it this week. Im sure ill loose some power but in reality a 350xfilter is more than enough power for the trails in wisconsin. I got a 330r now. Im not in compitition so its still got alot of power for me.

I found this cut away. Is this gonna be so restrictive it will cause extra heat in the motor? Where would the packing go in this muffler?

I am no expert on exhaust system designs, especially for two strokes, but I don't see how a restrictive muffler would cause more heat. It would only slow the motor down, which would leas to less heat? I am looking for a nice quiet muffler that I can run in some places where the power isn't as important to me. I guess you should also check your jetting after you change mufflers, and let us know if there was a required change. That would tell you a lot about the muffler.

That is a cut away of your muffler? Did you build it, or buy it?
