200x motor swap question

tonight i found a 200e that was in a garage and the guy wants to sale it. and im thinking about putting the motor in my 200x? will it fit and bolt right up?

no it will not. the starter will hit the frame and the sprockets do not align up correctly due to the 200e having the hi-lo sub-trans.
if you got a 200s with pull start, that would work.

Are you sure...I was able to put a 200e engine in my 200m, and everything lined up great. I believe the rear axle is the same for both the M and E, so the chain track should be the same on both...???

I Bought a 200x parts bike that had a 200 big red engine on it. They notched the frame for the starter to clear and I think they grinded alittle off the motor mount on the left side by the swingarm to clear the high/low.

would it be woth trying? i mean its just a project u no. and the guy aint wanting much for the 200e. but if it will fit in a 200m then it should fit right?

It will fit but is it really worth having to cut and weld on a good 200x frame to get it to fit?

It will fit people do it all the time and I have thought about doing it with one of my x,s as I have a 200e also, search for it on here you will find it

And of course an E engine will go in an M and vise versa they are basically the same trike I have both and 90% of the parts are interchangable, One thing that is different though is the front forks but not by much but the E rack will not bolt on the the M forks and the lights mount differently

for the time effory and $ you will spend making the 200e a runner int he 200x frame, you are better off getting a good used 200x motor.

its imposible finding a 200x motor. and im not in the position to spend $500 + on a motor and i don't want a liflan motor. and i dont get it. if it will fit in the 200m frame then y wont it fit in the x? couldnt i just take the starter off? its so confusing lol.. and im sure the motor runs. and i dont really care about the eletric start. it has a pull rope.

i just called the guy and he said it does run. so should it go for it?
