My brother just pick up a 85 SX he hasent got it running yet,,, took the carb apart today and notice that this screw was broken off!!! So he calls his little brother to ask what is that screw?????? i was thinking the air screw,, but not sure??? i dont know anything about SX carbs It's hard to say when you live 500miles away!!!LOL!!! ,,,,,told him i would ask around!!!! here's wat he sent me!!!146739 Thanks

Yep thatd be the air/fuel screw.

Thats the air fuel mix screw but its not broken off in your pic thats the way its supposed to look .

Thats the air/fuel screw as stated above. Also it doesn't look broken, but i'm sure he just sent you a general 250sx carb picture to show you the screw.
Anywho, he should be fine running it like that, aslong as he isnt doing any upgrades, such as a pipe, etc. Should be in the stock position, and should run just fine as soon as the carbs cleaned.
The one on my 350x snapped when i tried to turn it, i guess sitting in a shed for 15 years does that to a poor lil brass screw.
