What are the front wheel replacement options for the 3 bolt Yamaha 225DR?

I changed my front wheel/tire on my SX from the stock 22x11x8 to a 23x8x11 with a simple rim and tire replacement..I really like the handling improvement.

Now I have a nice black 225DR in the middle of a piston/ring job and once it's done I will probably add it to my daily rider group of machines.

Has anyone experimented with front end swaps or replacement rim/tire for this 3 bolt arrangement? The choices are extremely limited!! I was hoping for something with a thinner/taller profile.

Hmmmm,,,I don't think so.. Raffa??? Probably end up being much more than just a rim swap/ triples and forks I'm thinking..

Cool, I wonder if I could find a 1st gen Tecate willing to sacrifice itself for the betterment of my DR?

Maybe it'll just become my trail machine and leave the Honda for the really muddy, abusive riding!!

There was a thread awhile back that a guy put the front end off a 1st gen 200x on a 225. Other then the Tri-z swap thats about all I've seen for the 225's. One thing I can tell you from experience is that they do not make a new aftermarket wheel for a 225. I orders one from a site that said it was for the front only to receive a back wheel which is a different off set. I finally has able to tract down a parts bike for a new front wheel.
