I just starting working on a honda atc 200s that has no spark. I have changed the coil, and the cdi. I am thinking maybe the alternator is bad, can someone give me an idea of how much voltage it should put out when you use the pull start??

Check the resistance of the stator coil, the one befind the pull starter. It resistance between the black/red wire and ground should be 245 ohms. I had been told that these bikes had a weak ignition system and after having trouble with my 200s and my friends 200s I am starting to belive it. I have found that this coil is usualy the problem.

stator is almost always the problem.

Check the black with red striped wire with a Ohm meter. To do so unplug the wire from the wiring harness and put one test lead on the terminal, put the other lead to the motor. The correct ohm reading should be between 215-245 ohms. If it checks bad you will need to replace the exciter coil or stator. ;)

Can someone please tell me where to find this connector? I'm having a no spark issue with my 200s.

I figured it out, bad stator. What stators will interchange?

I got a 200e stator which is different, thank you.

interesting, my 200e and 200s are exactly the same. and they were factory. now are you looking at the wires coming out or the actual stator with the 2 wires itself? the wiring circuit coil will have more wires, but the stator has only 2.
