I remember reading on a previous post that someone had converted a 200es to points.
Surely the points could fed power from the exciter coil and could open of the camshaft where the pulse generator rotor is maybe using the rotor or I could make a cam lobe to fit.:wondering
I did some searching on the net but there isn't much on cdi to points just a lot on the other way round. What I did find is that the HT coil might not be suitable and I would need a HT coil for a points system?
I have 2 bad CDi's and its pretty expensive to replace them, whats more my local Honda agent here in SA says the part is discontinued and there last price was almost the equivalent of $300.
I see there are some OEM sites for around $100 excl shipping but on some of sites it shows the CDI is discontinued!
So if anyone one has more info on this, maybe even a wiring diagram please let me know.
