2nd thread because its a different question,
k here's what i got, its a 38mm pj kehin, its running rich after sitting, carb has been apart and cleaned about 20 times trying to figure this one out, floats are set right and are good, first the needle / seat was in question as it was flooding out the vent tubes, replaced the needle, it stopped doing that, the jet needle that's attached to the slide is bent slightly, working on replacing that, but other then that its set right and still running rich, since the carb was flooding, is it possible that its fuel in the bottom of the crank case that's making it run rich? last time I had an abundance of fuel in the case I took the intake off and sprayed compressed air in the intake while kicking it over with the plug out, but I don't have air anymore, so how many kicks would it take to clear the case out? and is there a better way to do this?

If you figure out the mystery let me know. I have one doing the same. However here is what I have.

New:
std bore sleeve
std bore piston/rings
valve job
new OEM camshaft
compression was around 145psi, nothing earth shattering but things were not seated yet.

Now I have tried an ebay carb, with the same results. A Honda carb off a 110 with the same results. And had the original carb has been cleaned and adjusted at least 10x?

It dosent idle but runs fine off idle to WOT. Still sounds rich but will run all day. Timing is on, new aftermarket coil.

And to restart it........ push the throttle about an 1/4 of an inch and give it one pull. Starts every time......

SOOOOOOOO........... I'm stumped......

4 strokes are a bit more forgiving than 2 strokes when it comes to mixture i have found, idunno, i would say slow jet, but I dunno, i still am dumb when it comes to carb tuning....
