You need to pick up a cheap set of Vernier Calipers...set the sucker to mm and take a measurement.

mike here is the funny thing about nut and bolt sizes when they call it a 22 mm or a 7/8, they are talking about the threaded area not the wrench size, makes it a pain sometimes.

Can you use a crescent wrench on that?

I think you should grab a set of impact sockets.

I've seen the set on sale at Sears for 19,95$ Even the Harbor freight one's have held mainly because of the thicknesses.

Of course you'll still need a cheap air compresor.............

I hate to admit it but I have a lage sized vise grip that I used on nuts like that, I get it on them then give it a couple of good taps witha 3lbs mini sledge and they come right off.

Crescent wrenches?? Vise grips??? http://www.smileyvault.com/albums/misc/smiley-vault-misc-075.gif (http://www.smileyvault.com/)

You can buy a 30mm deep socket for less that 20.00 or an impact socket for less than 30.00. Some peoples kids. Buy 'em books, send'em to skool.......

I beg to differ. The standard nut measures (.75") and fits into a 3/4" socket and the metric nut measures (.524") which converts to a little over to a 13mm socket.

Unstake, place large screw driver into stater cup, use vise grip and hammer clock wise.. comes off nicely
