I like the other thread on who spend the most...but as a businessman it seems counter intuitive...what about who got the best for less?
I will start....
I paid $800 for my Tri z....(it was in pieces remember) but got about $420 in ebay parts. That leaves me with $380.
I spent somewhere around $700 for parts, paint, plastic, wheels, etc. I think that leaves $1080.
Wait...I still have 4 tires left over, a silencer, a grab bar, an airbox boot for an 85 and a white front fender. I could get about $200 for all that stuff so...my new total is:
$880
My finance and accounting professors would be proud!

I spent about $200 on my tri-moto. It includes parts and the price I paid for it. It doesn't look the nicest one in the world though.
But the piston decided to destroy itself, so I got a rebuild coming now. :?

I've got less than $200 in my 86 250r. I started building it almost by accident, I had the frame and a box with a few parts left over from a project I had finished, and I was impressed with the condition of the frame and so I started putting aside the nicest parts I came across and traded the best parts from later projects and now I have a bone stock 250r with an original low hours motor (out of a wreck that I traded for an air cooled 300 kit top end I had laying around). I still need a set of tank shrouds with decent decals, but other than that she's complete. If I can ever figure out how to post pics on here I'll try to get some up for you.

I paid $680 for my 86 250SX. It's near mint shape and came with a snowplow. I saw the same plow sell for $500 on Ebay a couple months back.

I bought my 85 250R and an 86 250R together for $700. I now have over $6000 in the 86 R alone though.

I was given a Yamaha YTM 200e for free, and it was in nice shape but first gear broke (missing tooth) and it had a snaped shaft. I got it for fixing the guys other bike for him. At the time I didn't have the room or the money to fix it so I had to part it out :( .
