Prob gonna be slow but anyway Heres the machine The pic with the fenders on upside down is now the others are from last year and earlier when it ran. Its a pretty nice machine. All OEM plastic on it. The guy that had it bought it new in 85 and ice raced it til 97 since then it sat in the basement of his condo. I bought it 2 years ago and sized the motor. When I pulled apart the motor I'm glad it did size because of the rest of the questionable things in the motor. Got a new regulator, cdi and coil from BDT today. The chassis bearings are all pretty good on here so I'm gonna powder coat it all original colors, get some new rear tires and keep the stock front, use all the gold wheels and renthal bars. PSI racing hi rev pipe. When I have the money gonna have BDT rebuild the entire motor and put on a 38mm A/S carb. Prob a stainless bolt kit too.

Sweet. Know how big a pain in the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro the build is, but it's worth it to do right. Good luck!

Im gonna trail ride this machine and theres water and mud here so I need the box. I have a 330 esr on my other 250r and a 38mm a/s with the full air box its tight but not bad for working on it. Bad dog toys motorsports http://www.bdtmotorsports.com/ and PSI used to be about 30 minutes from me here in Wisconsin and now is in Utah I think they are in to snowmobiles for the most part. They made 250R stuff in the 80's. http://www.psicarbs.com/snow/sledBigAir.php

Got the frame back a couple weeks ago from PC stainless bolt kit.

You will not be disappointed with the skills from Carlos at BDT Motorsports. He is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience with those motors and knows how to build reliable horsepower with those 250r's.

Why the gold on the fork tubes? My tubes looked like crap and I just polished them out to a mirror finish. It's a little more work but worth it. I also have a old PSI pipe but don't use it because it is so damn loud.

All I got for pics of the pipe Ill take more laiter. I thought I'd try gold on the fork tubes. IMO I think it looks good. They were reall gouged from its past life as a ice racer. So I used body filler to fix them up and shot them with Base/clear gold I mixed at work. I use the prophet gun with out PPG paint mixing bank and took pictures of the swing arm gold to get a very close match.

Is your PSI pipe chromed? It looks cool. Mine is just painted black. I've thought about sending it out for ceramic coating.

I really like the gold fork on my 85. Personally in general I don't like gold. I'm painting my swing arm metallic silver and hubs metallic blue on mu 1986 ATC.
