Got a Question About Yamaha 200ERN CDI? The Numbers on them..

Ok i have a 200ERN motor that i need to get running it is used in a golf cart.. I need a new CDI and the numbers on it is 24w-20 and under that is 4292.. What i need to know is if one with 24w-20 and different numbers under it will work or not? I can get the bottom numbers off of the other one we are looking at if you need it...


EDIT Just checked and the numbers on the one we are thinking about getting is 24w-20 and under that is 2z11 SO will this CDI work on my motor?

The part # I find for yours is 1985 YTM200ERN - 24W-85540-20-00 but the site I found it on says it is discontinued. I'd call a Yamaha dealer and ask they if there is an updated part number. It looks like there is still a CDI available for the 1984 YTM225DRL (29U-85540-21-00) and it looks like yours in the image. I can say for sure, but many of the YTM parts that start with 21V, 24V or 29U are interchangeable. I'd call the dealer or wait until someone else that knows more about this than me comments here.
