Bought a yamaha parts bike today.

I bpught an 84 200 today. I have a 200e that is in great shape, but part are hard to find here. This one has bad plastics, no starter, no ignition..just wires hanging. It does have reverse, which mine does not. I am thinking of switching the running gear over.

I looked at the wiring diagrams posted here and have no idea where to start. i would like to turnit over to see and hear it run. I have 6 wires hanging out from under the gas tank.
Blue
Blue white stripe
Black
Black white stripe
Red
Brown

Which wires do I connect before I start reefing on the recoil?

on hondas its like this.

black is ground

black/white should go to coil then to kill switch

brown taillight power

red is hot for electric start. so this little wire goes to the kill switch
not positive on the blue wires but i know they are usualy for lights.

so i dont know if you have a kill switch and all this stuff so if you dont have a kill switch just hook the black/white line going from the stator to the coil (problay already connected but make sure). and unhook that black/white wire going from the coil to the kill switch/key. Make sure that wire end does not touch the frame or you. cause you will feel a little jolt
