i have an 83' 250r, one of my seals seems to be leaking. so when i change it, i should change both right? also, how long should it take to do, and is it really that hard to do? thanks - brad

Most people will tell you to change them both, but Im of a different opinion. Some guys like to change them everytime they change fork oil. and call it "rebuilding the forks" whether they leak or not. I still have the original 1985 OEM seals in my TriZ, and it gets ridden hard and often under the worst possible conditions. I am confident that if I had ever replaced the seals just for the sake of doing so, Id have had to change them many times since. Youll have plenty of broken stuff to replace without having to find things to replace that arent broken. I do recommend changing the fork oil in both of them when you do the seal, so your forks are equal.
