350x 400ex carb swap and throttle cable length

when doing this swap is there a big difference between the lengths? can i use a 400ex cable (with a 400ex throttle) without any problems other than maybe rerouthing the cable?

I have done this. You will be okay. the 350x cable is less than an inch longer than the 400ex cable internally and the cables are interchangeable between bikes. The 400ex and 350x have nearly identical throttles and cables. I used the 350x throttle with 400ex cable and carb.

I used the 350X throttle and cable with the 400EX carb on mine, just because I had a new 350x cable on hand.

Can a 350x cable be used with the 400ex carb?? Or should I get a 400ex cable?

I just picked up a good used 400ex carb on the cheap and am wondering what I need to swap this into the wife's 350x and have it work properly and dependably.....

You can use both. Only difference is the 350X cable is a bit longer.
