Hi,
My 1985 Honda ATC 110 is running, and i think i will put new rings in it, but i am having some problems with the transmission. the first problem is that it has a hi-low sub-transmission, and works fine in lo, but doesn't work in hi. Any ideas on how to fix that, I am also having trouble getting it open, so if anyone can help, that would be great.

The second problem I have is the three wheeler sometimes seems to pop out of gear and has trouble engaging gears sometimes too, i've never done transmission work before, but i am pretty good at this sort of thing, so if i had a manual, it wouldn't be to hard.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks

Hi in the trans may not be fully engaged. Try rocking the trike back and forth while moving the lever from lo to hi and make sure it locks into gear. Once that is done, then go from there. Also the trike not moving, may be the clutch slipping. Have you tried adjusting the clutch? The clutch does have an adjustment. Try downloading the honda shop manual from online and it will take you through the clutch adjustment. Things may not be as bad as they appear. Best of luck and check back in and let us know how it goes. The Honda shop manual is essential though.

drummer, if you want to bring the machine to me I will help you figure out what the problems are and how to fix them. And we will get them fixed while here. I have a ton of parts so that isn't a problem. I'm in Celina, Ohio and it might be too far to travel, but the offer is out there.

hey, the words service manual in your post are lit up
and link to the service manuals.

Thanks mods for the flashy upgrade.

I have a few hi lo shifters that are just stuck and won't go all the way either way.
