250r front end on a 200es

Will a 1984 atc250r front end fit on a 200es?, ive seen it done on a 250es and was wondering if it would work on the 200! Also what size tire does the 250r use, 81-84 models?

Would a 250sx frotn end work???

I am pretty sure it won't work. The 250sx/250r steering stems are bigger than the 200es. I have replaces the front end on a 200es before, We had to go with 200s front end because none of the other suspension style ones I had would work.

The tube is too fat to slide through the bearing races. If memory serves me correct the 250sx/250r tube is also longer.

If it was fatter couldent you buy a diffrent type of bearings, like ones in a race that had a big hole in the centre, also if it was a longer tube couldent you cut it off and re-tap it??? Sounds far-fetched but nothing is impossible!

You might be able to do that. But I personally wouldn't cut down the tube. I think it would weaken it.

Hey, you can make that work, i put a 250r front end on my 84 200s, same frame as the 200es, i now took it off, and put on my 185, the trike looks like a choper with that front end on it, and you can do 5th gear wheels it is so long and light, i will try to get you some pics

If this works I wanna see some pics. It would be a beast 200ES Big Red with rear suspension and a 250R front end. But be careful. Them babies got some par and with that light front end might throw ya.
