The piston from a 83-85 200x is different from a 86-87 200x so it might fit the earlier years not sure. why not just get a correct 200x piston?

The 200S piston is the same as the 83-85 200X piston, BUT NOT THE SAME AS THE 86-87 200X
Caps for emphasis, not anger. ;)

yea im only 16 myself but it will cost you more if the motor blew because of the wrong piston then the little difference between the two pistons. Also ive heard that 12-1 will not run on pump gas so you really aren't saving money by having to buy high octane fuel Im not sure i just heard. Someone will tune into the thread who really knows and give you the right answers but maybe just a 10-1 200x piston on pump gas would be the safe route.
EDIT didnt see scootertrashes post so just find out about the 12-1

yes if you have a 1985 200x, the 200s wiseco will work. you will need to make sure you have a larger exhaust and proeprly jetted carb orthewise go withthe 10.25:1 as it can be ran with stock exuast if needed and minimumal jetting.

i have a dg exhaust with a k&n filter and i just bought a 12:1 piston i plan on running half supreme pump gas and half race gas or in a jam pump gas with octane boost what is the worst that could happen with running supreme pump gas and why would it happen
