Ive got this atc 70 and it has started leaking oil from behind the flywheel pretty bad. Ive never seen this with a trike before.. Looks like it could only be two spots. Coming from behind what i believe is the condenser or coming from behind the shaft the flywheel goes on. I pulled the flywheel and it was oily in there of course. Is this an easy fix or a case splitter? It its not bad ill fix it but if not maybe a new frame to do a custom with. Thanks all help appreciated

Behind that fly wheel theres a seperate caseing from the case.... on that casing theres a round seal that rides on the crank. ''crank shaft seal''.

Its an easy 20 minute fix once youve got the flywheel off. Pull off the casing and your seal is inserted into the center of that casing.

Thanks a bunch just got the stator plate out today and took the old seal out. It was leaking pretty bad but what can i say not bad for a $200 atc 70. Just ordered the crank shaft seal and the large ring that wraps around the plate. Gotta love DRATV! But thanks a lot for the help!

No problem, ive been there to with an atc 200s.... Shorted out 2 good coils untill i finally noticed the shaft seal was cracked all around !
Just be glad you didnt keep running it, it eventually would of shorted your ignition stator coil !

Oh thanks thats good info for me as well. My 85 200s is my daily rider so ill keep an eye out for that! But that 70 was leaking a drip of oil every half second, cant believe she was still a sparkin..
