Hey everyone I got a 44mm lectron carb that I would like to run on my r, the issue is the gas tank won't fit, the carb is too tall, is anyone running this set up? If so how did you make it work?
Any help would be great
Thanks

why a 44 on a 310? seems like overkill to me,, is it an all out drag racer?

That's what Jim sold me says he prefers them, I was running a 39 airstriker he said it was not enough carb so now I have this, it would likely fit a trx but I just dont have the clearance,
Not a all out drag trike, he says it should be wild tho

Reed spacer get you some extra room? Extra crank case volume never hurts with a big bore cylinder....

No it wouldn't help the lectron carb is a fair bit taller than the normal carb, my rear gas tank mounts are about half inch too high from the frame mounts

i have no idea who jim is,,,, but i see no reason in the world to run a 44 on a little 310.. it makes no sense ... believe me bigger is not always better especially on a carb...

I am building an esr 370 right now and I am going to run a 39. A 44 is way to much for a 310

I don't think 86 350x understands that carb size is limited by the laws of physics. Unlike the thing in your pants bigger is NOT always better when it comes to carbs.

Are you running alky? If not, step down to a 40. The 44 would run ok, but be hard to tune, gas no way on the 44

He set if up to run on 110, but was trying to sell me on runny alcohol, what do you think of lectron as compared to other brands?
