I finally got a 250r!!

I've been drooling :drool: for a liquid cooled 250R ever sense I first got into 3wheelers about 7 years ago. It seems like everytime I was about to pull the trigger on buying one I would some how talk myself out of it,mostly because of the price. It seems like in my area a decent R will sell from $1800 on up. Until now the most expensive trike I've bought was a 86 350x for $800(I'm a hell of a good shopper!) I knew I didn't want to buy a junk ratted out R because I know how quick it can get into your pocket to get it ridable. So I finally decided to get serious and buy one.

I set out on the beloved Craigslist to find my trike. I put up a wanted ad and within 2 weeks this beast was in my care for the fair price of $1500. The R seems to be in good riding conditon. Everything works as it should. The engine is still on its stock piston. Only ad ons I see are handle bars, all new tires, old school fmf silencer, wheel spacers, and UNI filter.I believe it has aftermarket rear fenders on it. Runs great starts right up and hauls major balls!

Thanks guys! Until now I think the fasted atv I've owned was a Tecate 4. This feels faster then the T4 I think the front tire reaching for the sky when you grab another gear helps out alot:D I'm very happy with my purchase and now I'm thinking about maybe selling one of my 350x's for maybe a T3 or another Tri-z. I had a 85 Z and it blew up minutes after I bought it and was on its last bore so I just sold it to get my money back out of it:cry: Def bitten hard by the 2-stroke bug again! I think you did good on this find. Ive been building one piece by piece and am already double what you spent on a complete machine and still a little more to go.
