I was at the Big 3 Vintage car swap meet at Qualcomm stadium last weekend in San Diego and among all the vintage car parts and junk there was a lot of old 3 Wheeler parts and vehicles scattered among the car parts. I found a nice set of R 903's at the far end of the swap meet. They were mounted on some gold anodized Douglas wheels. I always wanted a set of these to throw on my 250R for riding up and down the driveway and such. So I was pretty excited to get these for 30 dollars. I was just worried if they were going to hold air. Well after one week the 10 psi I put in them when I brought them home is still holding. The funny part about this was as I was carrying my new wheels back to my truck I walked past a guy who yelled over to me and asked if I wanted to buy another set. I was confused at first by what he said but then noticed him pointing to a stack of 903's in his piles of junk. I couldn't believe it!! They were just tires, no wheels. I checked them out and thought it over for a second. He wanted 25 dollars and I got him down to 15 bucks! So I carried my first set to my truck and came back and got the second pair. At first look I thought they were perfect. They were exactly like the other set I just bought except the size on these unmounted tires was 220/460-9. The 903's on the Douglas rims are 220/430-9. When I got home I washed both sets of tires and much to my dismay I found an ugly repair to the sidewall on one of the unmounted tires. And from all my experiences you can't repair a sidewall puncture. So my plan is to install an inner tube on that tire. I ordered one from Motorcycle Superstore. Im not sure how that's going to go but it's worth a shot. I'll post my results after this weekend. Here's a buch of pics of my score plus some pics of some of the piles junk and vehicles that I saw. Enjoy :-)

Very cool Beerside!!! I need to start attending swap meets here in AZ...you never know what you may find!!!

Was that a price tag hanging from that 1985 ATC 250R? It looks from the pic to be a Westcoast Swing-Arm!!

ok unlike you guys i'm not exactly sure what's what or even what i'm looking at for most of it, but i'm curious about the yellow framed 185 and the 90/110 in the pic right above it.

boy, that YZ really brings back alot of memories for me too. wish i still had mine. :(

Finally put on the R 903's. I just left them on the gold Mitchell wheels they came on but eventually I want to go with the all polished look. I already got the front tire but I'm still waiting for the inner tube to be able to mount the one bad tire from my second set. I went ahead though and put on the good tire on a new polished Douglas rim and I'm not to happy with the way it mounted up on a 9X9 wheel. I wish I would of got the 9X8 wheel instead. The tire looks too stretched out by the extra inch of width. By the way, does anybody have a No-Mar tire changer? Best thing ever!! I highly recommend it!!
