After almost 6 months of just window shopping I decided to add a new member to my pack..this one is a horse of a different colour. Literally!!
After a long contemplation I decided to pull the trigger on a Yamaha..and what a beauty I found. Took a drive to Michigan today since the prices are much better than Ontario and met a 3ww member who was parting with one of his beloved..
Can't say I blame him for feeling seller's remorse..this machine is really nice.

Thanks Eric, a great addition to the group and a welcome fresh addition. A real change for me to buy a Yamaha, but I have or do own most of the Honda fleet and well Yellow just turns me on!!

Great looking trike! I found a 225dx just a few minutes from my house that I was thinking about picking up, the plastic is solid but faded bad. Your post makes the $195 price tag even more tempting haha. Congrats on a very clean yammy

Yeah, 225cc, full suspension which is a pretty important feature too me, electric start..no reverse, that was the 225DR model but you can't have it all.
It does look a bit smaller than my 250SX for example but that illusion was just an optical effect because of the small back tires..I put my SX and DX side by side when I got home and they were pretty much the same.
I don't know much about the Yamahas either, but always open to learn more about these machines..especially when I can find one in as good a shape as this..
Besides the battery box being mangled from someone trying to fit a bigger battery in she needs nothing but as ass on the seat and some gas!!

Very nice yellow hammer. Had loads of fun on one of them a few summers ago. My bud bought one. Thing looks in really good shape. Nice addition.

I got it in the shop with the plastic off while I go over everything. Adjust valves, flush tank, remove and clean carb, change diff fluid, check and adjust everything that can be...
It will take a couple days to get the time to finish and get it back together..but sure I can get some more.
The more I look at this thing the more impressed I am, the bolts are all clean and shiny, the differential oil though never changed is still clean, everything is original except the rear tires and battery..
What a score..thanks again Eric.
