Guys almost 100% sure these will fit the 1st gen 200x with a 2 gen hub swap!

yaegerb

Yes these wheels fit a 1st gen 200x with a 2nd gen hub swap. I used a 1986 200x hub and swapped the axle, spacers and brake disc. Everything Converts. The only thing you will need to do is file down the inside edge of the caliper. To ensure mine was perfect I took the "high edges" off of mine and it fits like a glove. Pictures below.

Hey All,
For those of you that have already mounted your tires on this 10 inch wheel can you take some pictures and show me where you have drilled for the valve stem. I have never done this before and want to make sure I am drilling it correctly and not ruining a perfectly good wheel.

Thanks in advance!

Step one Get your wheel out make sure your gonna drill it on the right side. Weather it be on the side with the brakes or the other side. ( Yes some people want them hidden under the brake rotor) This one is getting put on the non brake side were it will be nice and easy to get two between two lugs.

MEASURE 100 TIMES!!!! Mark the hole and drill a small pilot hole and work your way up to the size for your valve stem. Make sure to place a few pieces of masking tape to ensure you dont scratch the wheel when drilling the pilot hole. I then drill the rest of the hole from the back side.

Make sure you read the package it will tell you what the final hole size SHOULD BE! This one wasnt popped in because the wheel is getting pc'ed !

Be sure to clean finger prints off.

cool. Are you drilling your pilot hole on the chrome side first or are you drilling from the back side to the chrome side?

Thanks again! I was really wondering where to put the hole. I see you put it on the angled "step" of the wheel. Looks like it is OK to do? That was my biggest worry...if I should put it on that angle or if I should put it on the inner "step" that was flat.

Any tricks you know to help seating the tire on the bead? I soaked the tire bead down with armor all and it still took alot of pressure to seat the bead on the brake side. The long bell to make room for the brake is hard to get started on there also. I worked on it for 2 hours and finally had to put a tube in it to start that side and broke the other side back down to take the tube out and put a valve stem in. I finally got it mounted but it was very hard.

I finally got it mounted but it was very hard.I didn't have any trouble mounting the tire on this wheel.Actually it was one of the easiest I have done. next time spray the bead with soapy water then remove the schrader valve from the valve stem and use a blow gun to get the bead seated on both sides now put the valve back in the stem and inflate to the desired pressure.

What tire did you use? I Had one other person say that the tire bead seated hard too. He didnt use any soap tho.

I mounted a maxxis ballance razr on one and a itp gncc holeshot on the other. I was afraid to see how much air pressure it had when it finally popped on the bead. I was quickly taking out the valve core before it blew up. Like I said had it slicked down with armor all. It usually does the trick.

A step bit works good for drilling the hole.Any holes in sheet metal, what they mainly used for.

Some people are scared because the "could" push to hard and go pass the size they want.....
