Possible 1987 350x located in Ontario...not a hoax(I hope)

I just saw an add posted on kijiji today and called the person who created it..

He states he owns a 1987 350x....says he bought it 7 years ago from an old man who bought it new.

he's a bit far out for me to go see tonight in the dark so I told him to email me some pics ASAP.

VIN plate, ownership, and year decal are all there he says to backup his claim.

Either he will send me pics or I will go see it tomorrow to verify..if it's real I will post it here for everyone to see.

I may not be interested in buying it myself but I know there will be alot of excited buyers in here, I will pass on the details once if it pans out!!

Where is he located?
There was one that was a hoax a while back, it was somewhere near marmora on. It had a fake 1987 vin plate. There's people on here that will be able to decode the vin, lots of times these end up being 86's, but like he said, hope you prove us wrong.

I'm thinking I should have kept it til myself until after..I went back to find the add and he has pulled it.

I might have made myself look like a rookie for getting all excited without proof. Sorry guys, I didn't want to start a BS thread.

Still, I'll follow up and eat my crow like a man if it turns wrong. It's just he was so convincing on the phone, said all the proof was there in front of him..

normally if you "google" the ad your looking for it will come up as a link, then you click it and it takes you to kijiji and says the ad is no longer active. Nothing came up when i google'd it. hmmmmm.......

Sorry guys, I guess I'm a chump for getting all giddy at the thought of the 87 350x being for real..

I have been calling the guy all day, I've emailed him several times, and he pulled his add from Kijiji almost immediately after I talked to him on the phone yesterday.

I do believe there was at least 1 87 250r built and 1 87 350x built soley based off of the 1987 ad but they sadly may have been destroyed. Until one surfaces we will never know fore sure, but everyone needs to look for them. I think your doing a great job of checking this one out for us. Good luck!

there had to have been atleast one of each for pictures ,, they probably did exist at one time. 87 atc250r plastics were found several years ago. It was a craigslist or ebay auction, 86 atc250r that had white radiator shrouds, different seat and something else that made it stand out. Guy had receipts or something w/ honda part numbers for the plastics.

i believe they had to cut up the 87' sport trikes , my friend a car dealer got 2 brand new engines, complete with pieces of frame where they cut it apart. some 87' big red were given to fire dept.s and police but ive never heard of anyone buying a new 1 off the showroom in the us althought they sold them overseas !!!!!

i believe they had to cut up the 87' sport trikes , my friend a car dealer got 2 brand new engines, complete with pieces of frame where they cut it apart. some 87' big red were given to fire dept.s and police but ive never heard of anyone buying a new 1 off the showroom in the us althought they sold them overseas !!!!!

There were 4,000 (87 big reds)produced. I have one myself and I have the paper work for when he bought it new off the show room floor. Pretty cools really.

I have been calling his number constantly, he won't pick up. I called from my cell and he heard my voice and the 'call dropped'.

Then I emailed him again!!! He finally replied and said, once I told him that what he had was rare he decided to put it back in the shed and hold onto it. I emailed he and stated if could only provide me with proof then I would make him a celebrity whether he was selling it or not!!

No answer since..
