man, its beutiful!!! the gold plated pipe, DG head, new Douglas wheels, it is a stunning machine. Tonite, I decided to try to remove some of the wiring harness since I will not be using the lights, but a dead man switch like the Tiger. Believe it or not, I figured it out and it works!! sparks when connected, pull the plug, no spark. Its almost a miracle. Now to figure out the routing of the remaining harness..... I wanted to post a pic, but its late, gotta work in the AM. I will take some pics tomorrow or mabey roll it outside on Sunday and snap a few. I think it will look good in the Red, White, and Blue colors. The only Gold is the head, really, and chain. The pipe, footpegs, kicker, and other misc. parts are Nickel plated, kind of chrome-slightly goldish. To really chrome it, all the parts would have had to be polished super smooth, and I really had no stomach for that!

ok pics now. like the pipe? I still have alot to do but its coming together nicely. lets see some pics of your free-air R's! the first BADASS trike ever made! They certainly need to be preserved.

well, heres my long gone '84, sorry about the pics, i dont have the engine in the frame because at that time, i had it out and was rebulding it

yeah, that thing is looking sweet. That pipe looks awesome. What size rim & tire you runing on the back?

the wheels are stock size 8x8. the tires are cheng shin cheapie 2 ply knobbies $30 each!! I wanted those so I could stud them, they are the "studdable" solid knobby. size is 18x9.5x8. Plus they came out with that tire in 83-84 and it hasnt changed since, so its OLDSCHOOL. Perfect for an old school racer.

I think this would sort of defeat the purpose of it being a oldschool racer! Great looking resto by the way holic! Do you have a racing plate to put on the forks or any other parts?

yep, I have a vented plate for the front. I found a DG gold boost bottle on ebay, I gotta have it!
