It goes on the side opposite the brake drum, the side that has the block with 4 nuts. The large part of the collar goes inside the seal.

There's a sleeve inside the assembly that slips over the axle itself, thats the one I was referring to. I out the collar side of the sleeve on the drum side of the assembly. Everything seems to go fit properly. I appreciate the help.
Thankyou

Just make sure you grease everything up good when you put it back together. It will make life alot easier the next time you have to tear it apart. They are known to "freeze" up on the SX.

Yup greased her up when I put it back together. What a horror show it was to get the old
Bearings out. An inner bearing collar was seized On the axle itself and the outer collar of both bearings were seized in the Hub assembly. Alot of
Cutting and torching to get all that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out lol

I just fought the same battle a couple weeks ago. What a nightmare.

Usually the collar thats thin and long is on the bolt or flush side and the flanged collar on the brake side. The SX (having a drum brake) is set up a bit different but like everyone said, grease the hell out of all of it with waterproof grease and next time it will all slide apart......
I lost a few front axles to the same thing because by the time you take it apart, it's been dry for ages.
